Credit card users ‘miss out on benefits’

Research from the Post Office indicates that close to 60 per cent of credit card users are not taking advantage of the potential financial benefits associated with their plastic products.

Furthermore, despite many people being lured into credit card debt by tempting financial offers, almost half (49 per cent) of card users told the Post Office they have not received any of the benefits they could be entitled to.

“We urge credit card holders to look at the long-term value offered by their credit card – particularly as almost a third (32 per cent) credit card users have held their card over five years,” said managing director of the Post Office Alan Cook.

The Citizens Advice charity recently called for Post Office services to be maintained fir the most vulnerable people in the UK as the government announced plans to close 2,500 outlets over the next 18 months.
