ClearDebt wins Investor in the Community Award 2012 at DRF Conference

Last week we celebrated being awarded Investor in the Community by trade body Debt Resolution Forum.

Nominated for our project with local school, Blessed Thomas Holford, we were delighted to be voted by the DRF Board to receive this award.

With financial education being a heated debate for everyone, we wanted to find a way to connect with young people on the verge of gaining access to credit and to find a way to encourage them to assess how they personally view spending and managing money.

ClearDebt support several charities each year and in 2011, worked with children’s charity Rainbow Trust.  Over the Christmas period we organised for 196 gifts to be delivered to children across the North West who were either terminally ill or siblings of those terminally ill.

We have continued to work with Rainbow Trust throughout 2012, raising close to £3,000 for them in the BUPA Great Manchester Run and now look forward to planning another Christmas event with them this year.
