If you’re like me, you’ll now be amazed at how many different ads there are for selling your gold – and if you’re even thinking about checking this “opportunity” out, then how are you really meant to know, which ones are genuine and which ones, are, well…..a little dodgy?
So before you dig deep into the back of the couch, or clear out old draws in search of unworn jewellery, maybe you should do a little research.
The Daily Telegraph have told us what we should all know already; if it sounds too good to be true – it probably is. They reported that Trading Standards have discovered prices for a 9 carat piece of jewellery varied in price offered by these companies from £17 – £32. That’s a 50% increase in value if you’re lucky…and if you’re not a 50% loss!
So if this is your plan for some extra Christmas cash, then be sure to take this advice in hand and shop around before you jump in! Don’t be pressured in to selling too soon, as the money you get in return, will only have a certain shelf life and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
So, if you’ve already gone down this route, why not share your experiences here so others can hear first hand how this can or can’t benefit you.
