Consumers advised to be ‘very proactive’

Consumers around the UK have been urged to be “very proactive” in order to make the most of the personal finance deals available to them.

Financial columnist and TV presenter Cesarina Holm-Kander has asserted that whatever the economic climate might be, there are always ways in which savvy consumers can gain a financial advantage.

In fact, while millions of people are struggling to become debt free across the UK, Ms Holm-Kander has suggested that the typical British family is effectively wasting thousands of pounds on an annual basis.

“A lot of people are scared about personal finance and there’s absolutely no reason to be,” she said. “People just need to get very proactive.”

Research carried out recently by Your Money Matters and Tickbox found that a third of people in the UK expect to see property prices crash in the coming months.
