Consumers advised to search out “rental bargains”
Lee Grandin, managing director of lettingagent.com, makes clear that which ever part of the country a British consumer might be from, it is often worth using the internet to get a clearer picture of how much rent they ought to be paying.
“Using an internet site not only cuts down on the amount of time it takes to do this research but may also alert you to a rental bargain in an area that you may not have thought of,” he said.
And the advice from Mr Grandin comes days after the chief executive of Shelter told the BBC that his charitable organisation is witnessing an increasing interest in its home repossession information services.
Meanwhile, the cost of borrowing money in the UK could be set to increase this week as the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee is due to make a decision on whether to raise the base rate of interest nationwide.
