Debt ‘top problem for Scots’

According to the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in the country, debt is the issue with which most of its frontline counsellors are confronted.

The mounting debt problems in the UK mean that an increasing number of people are heading to their local CAB in an effort to get advice on how to deal with their financial burdens.

The Scotsman reports that the recent interest rate rise from the Bank of England is now set to make the problem of debt worse for many people and as such the CAB in Scotland and across the UK can expect to see more people arriving with concerns about their financial situation.

Tackling debt is a significant problem across the UK as the cost of living continues to rise and it seems that more people are worrying about their financial security, unsure of the best way to deal with their problems.
