Tories raise cost of living concerns

Financial worries are a major point of concern for thousands of families around the country and the current government is not doing enough to arrest the rise in the unsecured personal debt mountain now at over £1.2 trillion, the Tories have claimed.

And with recent increases in the cost of borrowing debt management is becoming more and more difficult, the opposition party has moved to highlight.

“In 1999, Gordon Brown claimed, ‘Family life is the foundation of society’. But, Brown’s policies have consistently failed to support families,” a statement from the Conservatives maintains.

A study released recently by Abbey revealed that financial worries were considered to be the greatest threat to quality of life by more people than any other potential problem.
