David Mond

David Mond is CEO at ClearDebt as well as Senior Partner at Hodgsons Charted Accountants.  A Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, David has over 40 years experience and has been instrumental in successfully campaigning for ethics and high standards of services within this industry.

David is Chairman of the Debt Resolution Forum (DRF) and created ClearDebt because of his strong belief that a debt resolution service could have the highest standards of service for both those who owe money and the creditors they owe money to.

When David was just 15, his father went bankrupt, and he learnt firsthand at an early age, the effects debt and bankruptcy can have on your life. Building from this experience, David decided to start a career in finance and accountancy, hoping that with this knowledge he could help others re build their lives before it was too late. With 40 years experience, David is pleased that through ClearDebt Group Limited and it’s brands ClearDebt, Abacus and ClearCash, they are able to make a real difference to how people manage their lives and build towards more financially stable futures.

Creating ClearDebt was an extremely exciting time for me – an opportunity to give people in debt an option they so desperately needed – a safe haven. It was the right time to make a stand within the debt sector and set the wheels in motion for others to follow our practice.
