Further to our blog earlier this week regarding the “winding-up” Petition brought against Smooth Financial, we want to remind our readers that any clients of Smooth Financial who come to us for advice and enter into a Debt Management Plan (DMP) with us, will be able to do so (if it is the most appropriate solution) without any initial fees or ongoing administration fees.

In normal circumstances if entering into a Debt Management Plan with ourselves, or another debt solution company, an initial fee will be charged. In our case, this is 100% of your first monthly payment and 90% of your second monthly payment.  After those payments have been made, all other monies paid to us will go directly to your creditors. With each monthly payment you make to us, for handling your Debt Management Plan and liaising with creditors on your behalf, an admin fee is charged.

Due to the emotional distress we appreciate so many clients of Smooth Financial must be under, we are waiving all initial fees as well as all admin fees for the duration of the Debt Management Plan.

We are aware that some other debt solution companies have also offered to help clients from Smooth Financial and ask you to ensure if they are offering free elements to their Debt Management Plans, that you check if all fees are waivered or if it is just the initial fees.
