And with council taxes causing debt management troubles for many people across the country, a full 65 per cent of British adults discuss the issue with family and friends, suggests

Increasing house prices across England and Wales, which also raise a number of debt management issues, were reported to be a source of conversation for 63 per cent of British adults.

It was claimed last week by the Resolution Foundation that a national debt advice service would go some way towards alleviating Britain’s current debt crisis.
